కర్ణాటక అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికలు: కొనసాగుతున్న పోలింగ్; ఓటేసిన ప్రముఖులు

కట్టుదిట్టమైన భద్రత మధ్య బుధవారం కర్ణాటక అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల పోలింగ్ కొనసాగుతోంది.
ఉదయం 7 గంటలకు ప్రారంభమైన ఓటింగ్ సాయంత్రం 6 గంటల వరకు సాగనుంది.
రాష్ట్రంలోని 224 అసెంబ్లీ స్థానాలు ఉండగా, ప్రధానంగా బీజేపీ, కాంగ్రెస్, జేడీఎస్ మధ్య పోటీ జరగనుంది. లింగాయత్, వొక్కలిగ ఓటర్లు ఎన్నికల్లో ప్రధాన పాత్ర పోషిస్తారు. జనాభాలో లింగాయత్‌లు 17 శాతం, వొక్కలిగాలు 11 శాతం ఉన్నారు.
కర్ణాటకలోని 224 అసెంబ్లీ నియోజకవర్గాలకు పోలింగ్ జరుగుతుండగా, 2,615 మంది అభ్యర్థులు బరిలో ఉన్నారు.
ఓట్లను మే 13న లెక్కించనున్నారు. దీంతో ఆ రోజే అభ్యర్థుల భవితవ్యం తేలనుంది.
58,545 పోలింగ్ కేంద్రాల్లో 5.3 కోట్ల మంది సాధారణ ఓటర్లు తమ ఓటు హక్కు వినియోగించుకోనున్నారు.
